ROOT Employed as an engineer on the Cresson division of the Pennsylvania railroad, died at 8.20 o'clock last night at his home on North Tuckahoe street, Bellwood, of a complication of ailments after a three-month serious illness. He was aged 59 and was a son of John L. and Lorena Ebaugh Root, both deceased. Surviving are his widow, who was Miss Pearl Hagerty; three sons and two daughters, William, Robert, Allen and Myrtle Root, all of Bellwood, and Mrs. Charles Irwin of Chambersburg, and these brothers and sister: Edward, Clair, Amos and Lloyd Root, all of Bellwood, and Mrs. Minnie Davis of Altoona. He was a member of the B. of L.R. and E. and the United Brethren church of Bellwood. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
