ROSE Mrs. Rose, 86, of 1522 6th Ave., Juniata, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 1989, at Altoona Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 26, 1903, In Galeton, the daughter of Clarence and Eunice, (Hillard) Kester, and Dec. 13, 1946, in Altoona, married Chester T. Rose, who died Nov. 1, 1964. Surviving are two stepchildren: June E. Smith of Harrisburg and Chester D. Rose of Altoona; seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rose was a life member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Juniata. She was also a member of the Altoona chapter Order of Eastern Star. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley Memorial United. Methodist Church, Juniata. ROSE - Services for Edith A. Rose of 1522 6th Ave., Juniata, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Juniata,, by the Rev. Dr. Dennis Gable. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, and 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church.
