Rosensteel, formerly of Tyrone, died on Monday evening in Nicholson, Wyoming county. Her remains were brought to Tyrone for interment. She was a daughter of Mrs. Mary Mattern, and aged 34 years, 5 months and 26 days. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Friday, June 4, 1880 CITY AND COUNTRY Things Briefly Told. On Monday last the wife of Mr. James M. Rosensteel, formerly of Woodvale, died after a very brief illness at her home in Nicholson, Wyoming county, at the age of only some thirty-five years. Her remains were conveyed to her native place near Tyrone, and interred in a burying ground there. The deceased was endeared to many friends and acquaintances because of the sterling qualities of head and heart of which she was in an eminent degree the possessor, and her loss will be deeply and sincerely mourned by all who enjoyed knowing her.
