Always patient and thinking of others, her last request was that her mother, who has been her faithful and most tender nurse the past six years, should go and lie down and take her rest, and she would also endeavor to fall asleep. It was not long until the poor little sufferer was called away, for before the midnight hour arrived, the Master spoke to her and she fell asleep. As stated above, she was patient until the end, and bore her sufferings without a murmur or a complaint. Miss Ross became ill with rheumatism about six years ago, and from that time on a great many of her days have been spent in the home and in bed. Recently, she grew worse and continued doing so until the end came Tuesday evening. Maud Virginia Ross was born at Spruce Creek, February 23, 1891, and was aged 20 years, 10 months and 8 days. When she was eight years old, she moved with her mother to Blandsburg, shortly afterwards coming to Tyrone, where she has spent the greater portion of her life. When a young girl, she united with the United Brethren church and lived her life according to the teachings of that faith. Her father, Henry B. Ross, preceded her to the grave about thirteen years ago. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Jennie Omdruschka, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. W. E. Campbell, of Bellwood; Esther Ross, at home; William F., John, and Walter Ross, all of Tyrone. The funeral services will be held at the home on Washington avenue, on Thursday at 12.30 o'clock, in charge of Rev. T. P. Orner, of the United Brethren church. The body will be taken to Spruce Creek, thence to Franklinville, where interment will take place. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 4, 1912
