ROSSI Mrs. Eve Rossi, 87, formerly of Tipton died at 10:33 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2004 at the Allegheny Lutheran Home in Hollidaysburg. She was born Nov. 28, 1916 in Viola a daughter of the late John and Tessa (Prach) Bungo. She married Ernest "Cookie" Rossi on Nov. 18, 1944 in Bellwood. Mrs. Rossi was a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellwood and St. Vladamir's Ukranian Orthodox Catholic Church in Smithmill. In her youth, Eve worked in New York City as a nanny and domestic. Over the years she worked locally at Herman's Hotel in Juniata and Fern's Restaurant in Tyrone. Eve loved people and was a good friend and wise counsel to many. She was a strength to her family and provided for her three children to attend and graduate from college. Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Campbell; husband William of San Diego, Calif.' a son, Ron Rossi and wife Sharon of Hollidaysburg; and Ron's three children, who were deeply loved by their grandmother, Tessa, Ana and Alec. She is also survived by sisters Kathryn and Suzanne of Smithmill, sister Irene of Sun City, Az.; brother Walter of Bradenton; and son-in- law Nicholas Ciccotello of Philadelphia. Eve was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as her daughter, Judy. Also deceased are her brothers Michael, Peter, Robert, John and sisters Anna, Mary, Marge, Helene and Stella. Her dear friend Charlie Blowers of Tyrone, passed in 1993, and several years ago, Eve lost a very special nephew, Jimmy Rossi. Friends will be received at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., in Tyrone on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home and graveside beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 with Father Paul Bigelow of St. Vladamir's as celebrant. Interment will follow at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. Before her death, Eve requested that, in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory be made to the Jimmy Rossi Memorial Trust Fund, c/o No. 32 Cherry Ave., Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
