Rothenberger, Fourth and Walnut sts., Bellwood, died at his home at 3:30 a.m. today following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 14, 1878 at Reading, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Rothenberger. He was twice married, first to Odessa Miller, who died in 1937, and secondly to Eva Pickens, in 1940 at Winchester, Va. Surviving are the widow, four sons, Herbert E. Chambersburg; William A., Youngstown. O.; Ernest L., Canton. O.; Richard K., Harrisburg; a stepson, George R. Dolin, Bellwood; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Mathes, Wilmington, Del.; Mrs. Esther Gross, Bellwood; a brother, William, of Lebanon; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was retired gang foreman for the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. He was a member of the Bellwood First Methodist Church where he was superintendent of the adult department of the Sunday School for 15 years; the Bellwood Lions Club, the Logan Valley Grange No. 224. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at his church, in charge of the Rev. Ardell G. Gould. Burial will be in Logan Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Russin Funeral Home after 7 p.m. on Friday and after noon on Saturday at the church until time of service.
