Jacob Rotz died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sadie McQuade, South Tenth avenue, yesterday at 8 a.m., of heart disease. He was born December 11, 1841, at Rocksburg, Franklin county. When he was 7 years old, he moved to Fulton county, remaining there on a farm until fifteen years ago, when he retired. He wedded Miss Catherine Snyder, in 1873, who died fourteen years ago. Since that time he had resided with his children, Mrs. McQuade, and Philip S. Rotz, of Fulton county. They survive with his [sic] following brothers and sisters: David Rotz and Mrs. Ida Hershey, Fulton county; Samuel, Mrs. Rebecca Scott, Mrs. Ella Bricker and Mrs. Susan Dunlap, all of Chambersburg; Mrs. Emma Anderson, of Chambersburg; John W. Rotz, Illinois; Mrs. Catherine Etter, Franklin county, and five grandchildren. Short services will be held this evening at his daughter's home and the body taken to McConnellsburg tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock.
