ROY Mrs. Maud Mae Roy, wife of Warren E. Roy, died at 5:50 o'clock yesterday morning in their home at 116 Ninth avenue, Juniata. Mrs. Roy suffered for five years from cerebral tumor and was a confirmed invalid for about three years previous to her death. The deceased was a daughter of Allen and Lydia McCaulley and was born in Duke Center, McKean county, on June 27, 1879. On June 16, 1903, she became the wife of W. E. Roy and fourteen years ago Mr. and Mrs. Roy established their home in Juniata. Surviving with the husband is one son Robert F. Also surviving is Mrs. Roy's mother and two sisters and one brother - Mrs. (Dr.) H. B. Cunningham, of Juniata, Miss Marie McCaulley, of Philadelphia, and Howard McCaulley, of Coatesville. Mrs. Roy was a constant member of St. Peters Protestant Episcopal church in Juniata and was a lady highly esteemed in her community. Funeral service will occur in her late home on Monday morning at 10:30 and will be followed by private interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Saturday morning, July 20, 1918, page 11
