Miss Mary Russell, of Sinking Valley, died at her residence on Monday morning, aged about 71 years. About eighteen months ago, Miss Russell was assisting a lady into a buggy, when she slipped and fell, breaking the bone of one of her limbs where it enters the socket at the hip joint. This is a hurt that is incurable, especially in elderly persons, and, of course, Miss Russell was completely disabled by the accident, confining her to her residence, and much of her time to bed, up to the time of her death. She had previously been a remarkably healthy lady, never having taken five cents worth of medicine in her life before this misfortune befell her. She was an estimable lady. Her funeral took place on Wednesday, and was largely attended.
