All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ ________________________________________________ CLARENCE WOODLE RYAN Retired machinist of the East Altoona roundhouse, Pennsylvania railroad, died at 4.30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home, 307 Crawford avenue. He had been in failing health for five years, although pneumonia which he contracted eleven days ago caused his death. He was born on Nov. 16, 1883, in Altoona, the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Reigor) Ryan. He was married on March 31, 1905, to Margaret McConnell. Surviving are the wife and the following sons and daughters: William and Thomas of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Gladys Hamm of Columbus, O., Mrs. Charles Hartz of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Elmira Settle and Mrs. Wildred Massaro, both of Altoona, Claude of the United States army, stationed at Fort Benning, Ga., and Samuel, Howard and Charles, all of this city. He also leaves one brother and two sisters, Miss Mary Ryan, Mrs. Sarah Emmert and Edward Ryan, all of this city; along with eleven grandchildren. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal church. Friends will be received at the Myers funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. RYAN - Funeral services for Clarence Woodle Ryan, of 307 Crawford avenue, will be conducted by Rev. John R. Leatherbury, of St. Luke's Episcopal church, at the Myers funeral home Saturday at 2.30 p.m. Interment in Oak Ridge cemetery. Friends are being received at the Myers funeral home.
