SABATHNE, JR., Age 86 of 200 Luther Lane, Columbia, Pa, formerly of Harrisburg, died Monday of natural causes at the SemperCare Hospice, Lancaster. He was the husband of the late Nancy HENSLEY Sabathne, who died in 1987. Born in ALTOONA, he was the son of the late H. Adolph, Sr. and Regina Schaeffer Sabathne. He retired from the Pennsylvania State Government, where he worked as a registered engineer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre of Operations. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Columbia. Surviving are his daughter Bonnie L. Moore of Hampstead, MD; 2 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters; a brother Charles Sabathne of Hot Springs Village, AK; and a sister, Dorothy Kist of Derry, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Peter Catholic Church, Second and Union Streets, Columbia, PA on Wednesday at 9 a.m. with the Reverend Peter I. Hahn officiating. Commendation and Farewell in Henelopen Memorial Park, Milton, DE. Please omit flowers.
