GEORGE B. SAMMEL

Died at the Blair county hospital last evening at 5 o'clock after an
illness of over two years.  He was born in Bedford county, Dec. 31,
1861, and resided in this city for the past eighteen years.  He was a
carpenter and a member of the Lutheran faith.  His wife preceded him
to the grave about twenty years ago.  He is survived by one sister,
Mrs. Gertrude Stuard of Harrisburg, and two brothers, Anthony of
Bedford and David of this city.  The remains may be viewed in rest
room No. 3 of the Stevens mortuary today.  Funeral services will be
held in the chapel of the mortuary this evening at 7.30 o'clock.  The
remains will be taken to Bedford tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock, where
interment will be made.
