Sausser, whose illness we noticed on Thursday, is dead. He died at -- o'clock yesterday morning. He was a marble cutter by trade, having furnished many a stone to be placed at the graves of others, and to-morrow (Sunday) afternoon at 2 o'clock he will be taken up on the hill and consigned to a resting place among the monuments in that silent city, many of which are his handiwork. He was born in Dauphin county and came here fifteen years ago, and was 45 years old when he died. Respected as an honest man and a good citizen is the general sentiment. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, October 23, 1880 Died. SAUSSER - On the 22d inst., at Tyrone, W. J. Sausser, aged 45 years, 4 months and 2 days. A loving husband, a kind father, a worth citizen, a member of the Church Council and an earnest Sunday school worker has gone. His countenance lit up with a heavenly smile as the spirit took its flight from the body. "Though He kill me yet will I trust Him."
