At the home of her husband, George Schandelmeier, a well known German resident, of 303 First avenue, Mrs. Ernestine Schandelmeier, died yesterday morning at 3:40 o'clock of a complication of diseases. She was born in Prussia, Germany, November 3, 1847, and came to this country in 1870 and had resided in this city since November 16, 1872, and was married here. She was a member of the Lutheran church and is survived by her husband, and these children: Mrs. Chas. Wertz, Mrs. William Fauth, both of this city, and William, Max, George and Ernest, all of Altoona. She was greatly devoted to her family and home and was a woman of sterling character. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at her late home, followed by interment in Oak Ridge cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., September 28, 1914
