John Lowry Schell died at the Altoona Hospital yesterday morning of erysipelas. 
He was admitted to the institution on January 6. Deceased was born on Piney 
Creek and was aged 52 years, 4 months, and 3 days. For a number of years he had 
been employed as a shooter in one of the quarries of the Pittsburg Limestone 
company near Williamsburg. His remains were prepared for burial by Undertaker 
Lafferty, who shipped the body to Williamsburg last evening on the 6:20 
train, where interment will be made tomorrow.
