CONRAD SCHMID.

A well known retired Pennsylvania Railroad company shopman, died at his 
home, 1521 Eighteenth avenue, at 6 o'clock yesterday evening, death 
being due to pneumonia.  Mr. Schmid was born in Zurich, Switzerland, 
April 17, 1842, and came to this country in 1880, locating in this 
city, where he secured employment with the Pennsy as a boilermaker.  
His wife preceded him in death three years ago.  He is survived by one 
son, Emil of Butler and one brother, Arnold of Johnstown.  He was a 
member of Christ Reformed church of this city.  The funeral services 
will take place from the home at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with 
interment in Rose Hill cemetery.
