Schmidhammer Died last night at 10:50 o'clock at his home, house No.4 at Berwind-White, East Hollidaysburg, death being attributed to a kidney ailment. He was a son of John and Johanna Schmidhammer and was born in Altoona on Aug. 11, 1901. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Shultzaberger Schmidhammer, and three children, Pvt. William Schmidhammer of Goldsboro, N.C. and Maxine and James, both at home, and these brothers and sisters; Sister M. Maura of St Agness Convent, Yonkers, N.Y., Louis and John both of Philadelphia, M/Sgt. Anthony of Fort McDowell, Calif., Mrs. George Rittenberger and Mrs. Lois Erndl, both of Altoona and Carl at home. Mr. Schmidhammer was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg, the Home Name society and the Knights of St. George, No. 551, and was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company in the Juniata welding shop.
