LUTHER SCHMUCKER.

  At 9 o'clock Tuesday evening, January 30, Luther F. Schmucker, a well 
known citizen of Cove Forge, died of pneumonia at the age of 67 years 
and 6 months.  He had been ailing since last spring, but was confined 
to his bed but a short time.  Mr. Schmucker had been totally blind for 
forty-three years, making his home with his brother, S. R. Schmucker, 
at the Cove Forge.  He never married.  He was a member and trustee of 
the Methodist Episcopal church and passed away peacefully and with the 
assurance of a glorious awakening in the life to come.  The funeral 
will be held this (Thursday) morning; interment being made in the Cove 
Forge cemetery.
