Schnavely of South Lakemont, died at his home, 503 Lotz avenue, South Lakemont, at 2 o'clock yesterday morning of a complication of diseases, aged 63 years. He had been in ailing health for about a year. He was janitor at the South Lakemont school and formerly served for ten years with the Altoona and Logan Valley company as a conductor. He was a member of the South Lakemont Methodist church and of the Knights of Malta. Mr. Schnavely was born on May 12, 1856, and was married on March 2, 1880, to Miss Charlotte Hand. Nine children were born to the union, leaving to mourn his loss the widow and the following children: Alfred, Elmer and Charles, all at home; Mamie of Lakemont Terrace; Mrs. Pearl Beatty of Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mrs. Annie Nichols and Robert of Lakemont and Harry in France. Also the following brothers and sisters: John of Altoona, George of Canton, O., Edward of Gibson, O.; Charles of Charlotte, Mich.; Mrs. Desse Reighart of Baker's Summit; Mrs. Elizabeth Studebaker; Mrs. Blanche Kephart and Miss Katie, all of California. The funeral will be held on Thursday morning at 10.30 o'clock with services in charge of Rev. C. S. Nonemaker, pastor of the Church of God and Rev. H. M. Spengler.
