He was born November 27, 1862, in Wuertumberg [sic], Germany, and has resided in this country since June, 1883. He was married in this city to Miss Anna Werner, November 27, 1885. During his residence in Altoona he had been employed in the South Altoona iron foundries of the Pennsy company. He was a member of St. James German Lutheran church and of the Pennsy relief. His wife and one daughter, Mrs. W. E. Wickes, of this city, survive, as well as a brother and sister in Germany. The funeral will be held with services at the late home at 2.30 o'clock Wednesday morning, in charge of the Rev. Charles L. Boecele, followed by interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.
