Mrs. Elizabeth Schumacher, wife of Mr. John Schumacher, of No. 1718 Sixth avenue, Altoona, Pa., died at her residence on November 13, 1890, at 11.30 o'clock a.m., at the age of 56 years, 5 months and 18 days. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. John Mueller, of Rudol, near Lenzen, Prussia, Germany. She was born on the 25th of May, 1834, and married to Mr. John Schumacher, of Wahrenberg, Prussia, Germany, in June, 1852. Immediately after their marriage they emigrated to America, resided during the first fourteen years in Defiance, Ohio, then seven years in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and since 1873 they have been residents of Altoona, Pa. She was a faithful and consistent member of St. James' German Evangelical Lutheran church, of Altoona, Pa. Her husband and four children survive her. These are: Frederick, married, residing in Canada; Henry, married, residing in Altoona; John H. and Louisie, both single and residing at home. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. H. J. Lemcke, in St. James' German Evangelical Lutheran church, at 3 o'clock p.m., on Saturday, November 15. The funeral cortege will leave the house of mourning at 2.30 o'clock p.m. and proceed to the church. The interment will take place in Fairview cemetery.
