TYRONE NEWS
MRS. SCOTT DEAD

  Mrs. Eleanor Jane Scott, widow of the late George H. Scott, died at 
the home on Logan avenue yesterday at the ripe old age of 85 years, 10 
months and 12 days.  She was born at Hollidaysburg Jan. 15, 1833, and 
was a daughter of John and Mary Lytle.  She was united in marriage in 
1870 with George H. Scott at Tipton, Pa., and had been a resident of 
this place for about 45 years.  She leaves two sons, John W. of Tyrone 
and William L. of Philadelphia.  She was a member of the Presbyterian 
church.  Funeral services will be held at the late home on Logan avenue 
at 2.30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, in charge of Rev. Walter Harnish of 
the Arch Springs Presbyterian church.  Interment will be made in 
Eastlawn cemetery.
