Scott, cashier of the First National bank of Bellwood, died at 1 o'clock this morning. A further obituary will appear tomorrow morning with his funeral notice. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Morning, February 13, 1917 ROBERT L. SCOTT Bellwood lost one of its most highly esteemed residents in the death of Robert Lee Scott, brief notice of which appeared in yesterday's Tribune. Mr. Scott had been failing in health for some time, owing to a complication of diseases, but had bravely kept up his fight for life, leaving his post of business only a month ago, when he took a trip to Philadelphia in the hope that treatment by a specialist might restore his lost vigor. From that time his decline was rapid and he passed away at 1 o'clock yesterday morning at his home on Maple avenue, Bellwood. Mr. Scott was born February 25, 1866, at Thurmont, Md. Twenty-seven years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Myra Henshey. He came to Bellwood from Philipsburg eleven years ago to become cashier of the First National bank, just instituted. This position he had filled with marked acceptability. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, of the Bellwood Motor club, the Chamber of Commerce, and of the P.R.R. Y.M.C.A. board of directors. Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Miss Edith; two sisters, Mrs. S. M. Miller, of West Virginia; Mrs. L. M. Wentzel, of Bellwood; four brothers, Walter, of Ickesburg; Joseph, of Munhall, Pittsburg; Howard, of Jersey Shore, and Edward, of Ardmore, Pa. Funeral services will be held at his late home at Bellwood at 7.30 Thursday evening. On Friday morning at 7.31 the body will be taken to Philipsburg, where interment will be made, the cortege going directly from the train to the cemetery.
