KATHERINE SEIDEL Wife of Joseph Seidel of 208 Eighth street, died suddenly at her home at 12.15 o'clock this morning of a heart condition. She had been in her usual health yesterday, being taken suddenly ill while preparing to retire last night. She was born in Hollidaysburg on April 2, 1854, a daughter of Frederick, a veteran of the Civil war, and Wilhelmina Hoefler, and was united in marriage with Mr. Seidel on July 14, 1874, the couple celebrating their sixty-first wedding anniversary this year. Mrs. Seidel was the mother of nine children, five of whom survive, Rev. Herman A. Seidel of Pittsburgh, Henry R. Seidel of Kansas City, Mo., Sister M. Wilhelmine of New York city, Mrs. E. J. Franks and Mrs. Mame McAleer of the city, along with her husband, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one brother, Rev. Constantine Hoefler of Wheeling, W.Va. Mrs. Seidel was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church where the funeral will be held Wednesday morning with solemn high mass of requiem, at which Rev. Constantine Hoefler, her brother, will be the celebrant, with Rev. Herman Seidel, her son, assisting. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery. The body may be viewed at the home.
