SELL, 81, a guest at the Morrisons Cove Home, Martinsburg, formerly of 419 Bell Ave., died at 9:03 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 1979, in the home, after an extended illness. Mrs. Sell retired as a teacher from the Altoona, Claysburg, Bishop Guilfoyle, Bellwood, Hollidaysburg and Cross Keys schools. She was also the former social editor for the Altoona Tribune. She was born May 21, 1898, in Vernfield, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin H. Cassel, and Dec. 8, 1924, in Scranton, married Dr. Byron M. Sell, who died Dec. 9, 1934. Surviving are five children, Byron S. of Altoona, Daniel E. of Scarsdale, N.Y.; Carl E. of New Canaan, Conn.; Mrs. Virginia Meiss of Mount Holly, N.J., and Helen. [She is also survived by] 14 grandchildren. Mrs. Sell was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She had worked as a volunteer in the VA Medical Center and was a former member of the George Wolf War Mothers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Daniel R.
