All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ EDGAR SELL A native of Blair county and for many years engaged in farming in the vicinity of Leamersville, died in Lewistown hospital at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon of pneumonia with which he had been ill only since Wednesday. He was born near Leamersville in 1878, a son of Rev. Brice and Elizabeth Sell, both deceased, the former being one of the ablest and widely known ministers in Blair county. Mr. Sell engaged in farming until about three years ago when he went to Granville, near Lewistown. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jennie (Pressel) Sell; an adopted son, Emory Burket, of Freedom; two sisters and two brothers, D. M. Sell, of Altoona, Mrs. Arvilla Leonard, of Leamersville, Stephen Sell and Mrs. Gloria Powell, also of Altoona. Mr. Sell was a member of the Brethren church. Funeral services were held in the Carson Valley church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday. Interment was made in the Carson Valley cemetery. Altoona Mirror, December 23, 1933
