SELL, 87, Rockingham Avenue, Roaring Spring, died Friday evening, Oct. 27, 1995, at Mercy Regional Health System. He was born April 27, 1908, in Taylor Township, the son of Stephen H. and Barbara Ellen (Metzker) Sell. He married Rae L. Williams on Feb. 1, 1936, in Altoona. She died March 8, 1979. Mr. Sell was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring. He retired in 1973 from Appleton Papers after 47 years of service. Mr. Sell was a Navy veteran of World War II. He enjoyed working and playing with children. Mr. Sell was a member of Ray-Camp VFW and Murray-Appleman American Legion, Roaring Spring, and was a life member of the Friendship Volunteer Fire Co., Roaring Spring. Surviving are a grandson, David A. Seyler, who was raised in the home, and two great-grandchildren. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements by J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. SELL - Graveside services for Emory W. Sell of Rockingham Ave., Roaring Spring, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring, by the Rev. David Witkovsky. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. Arrangements by J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring.
