The funeral of Mrs. John Settle of this place, was conducted at the Hickory 
Bottom Reformed church by her pastor, Rev. Elias S. Noll last Saturday morning.  
Mrs. Settle was in her eightieth year when death came.  She had her home with 
her son Jerre for many years where she received the very tenderest care during 
her long illness.  Those from away who attended her funeral were as follows:  
Mrs. Maggie Clapper of Williamsburg, Mrs. Harry Coy and son of Duncansville, Mr. 
and Mrs. Cyrus Reed of Bellwood, Miss Flora Reed, Mrs. Ellen Coy, James Coy and 
Mart Coy of Saxton.
