GEORGE E. SHAFFER

Of Cuba, Mo., former Bellwood resident, died July 31 at his home after 
an extended illness. Born March 31 1894, at Bellwood, he was the son of 
the late Abraham and Susan Shaffer.  Surviving are two brothers, Albert 
of Tyrone and Clarence E. of Bellwood, and a sister, Mrs. Eva Brophy of 
Bellwood.  Mr. Shaffer was a retired Kansas City Mo., steel worker, and 
left Bellwood in 1918.  The Rev. Francis Derick, former Bellwood man, 
and Presbyterian minister at Cuba, Mo., officiated at the services.  
Interment was made in Kansas City Mo.  He was a World War I veteran.
