Mrs. Susan Shaffer

  Mrs. Susan Shaffer, 92, of 198 W. Main St., Bellwood, died at 5:40 
a.m. Sunday at her home following an extended illness.  Mrs. Shaffer 
was born Jan. 28, 1866, in Antis Township, a daughter of Michael and 
Elizabeth (Wheeling) Nearhoff.  Her husband Abram, died Nov. 2, 1939.  
Surviving are five children, Earl, Mrs. Eva Brophy and Clarence of 
Bellwood, Albert of Tyrone and George of Leesburg, Mo.; seven 
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Shaffer was a member of 
Grace Lutheran Church, Bellwood.  Friends will be received at the Fuoss 
Mortuary, Bellwood, after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
