DIED - DEATH BY LIGHTNING - During the storm on Tuesday afternoon of 
last week, the dwelling of James Shannon, at Bald Eagle Furnace, this 
county, was struck by lightning.  The inmates of the house were Mr. 
Shannon and  wife.  The former was instantly killed and the latter was 
so seriously paralyzed that she is not expected to recover.  The house 
took fire and was burned to the ground, and the inmates were rescued 
from the flames with considerable difficulty.  - Standard.
