Keturah Shaw who resided with a son, Alvie L. Shaw, at Brookes Mills, died at 1:05 o'clock this morning in the Nason hospital, Roaring Spring, where she was admitted after suffering a fractured hip in a fall three weeks ago. She was born at Wilmore Nov. 6, 1862, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Burtnett, and on March 14, 1880, married Austin P. Shaw, who died Aug. 21, 1934. The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. A. Fulton, pastor of the Pine Grove United Brethren church, in which Mrs. Shaw had retained membership. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw located at Puzzletown where Mr. Shaw engaged in the undertaking business and later moved to a farm west of Newry. Surviving are two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Carrie Yingling and Mrs. Marie Long of Altoona, Harvey E. Shaw of Newry, Robert W. of Duncansville and Alvie of Brookes Mills; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a half-brother, Castor Burtnett of Detroit, Mich. Friends will be received at the Creamer, VanAllman & Plank funeral home, Hollidaysburg, after 7 o'clock this evening. SHAW - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Keturah Shaw of Brookes Mills will be held Monday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in the Creamer, VanAllman & Plank funeral home, Hollidaysburg.
