ALICE BAKER SHAW, Widow of Amos Shaw and a lifelong resident of Newry and vicinity, died Wednesday evening at 5.30 o'clock at her home in Newry. She was born Feb. 5, 1859. Her husband preceded her in death a number of years ago. She is survived by the following children: Ira W. of Duncansville; Richard J., of Pittsburgh; William J., and Charles A., of Newry; Fred B., of Leamersville and Mary D., at home and Mrs. Harry D. Long of Newry. She was a member of the Lutheran church since childhood. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in the Newry Lutheran church and interment will be made in the church cemetery. Two brothers and one sister, all in the west, survive. They are C. M. Baker of Kansas, J. F. Baker of Nebraska and Mrs. A. M. Lawrence of Illinois. Friends are asked to omit flowers.
