HARVEY E. SHAW 

Of Newry, died at 2:07 p.m. yesterday, March 22, 1973, in Mercy 
Hospital, where he was admitted Feb. 25, after a brief illness. Mr. 
Shaw was a retired carpenter, having been employed by the D. M. Bare 
Paper Co., Roaring Spring. He was born Sept. 20, 1884, in Puzzletown, a 
son of Austin and Anna (Burtnett) Shaw, and married Dora J. Echard, who 
died March 30, 1971. Surviving are three sons, Rollin E., of Cresson, 
H. Clair, at home, and Merle D., of Newry; five grandchildren, eight 
great-grandchildren and two brothers and a sister, Robert W. of 
Duncansville, Alvie L. of Aitch and Mrs. Marie Long of Birmingham, Ala. 
Mr. Shaw was a member of the Puzzletown Independent Church. Friends 
will be received in the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 to 
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
