JOHN P. SHAW

Of 1017 3rd Ave., Duncansville, died at 10.15 p.m. yesterday, Dec. 19, 
1969, in Mercy Hospital, where he was admitted Dec. 16, after a brief 
illness. He was born May 30, 1898, in Dry Run, the son of Lloyd A. and 
Emma (Butler) Shaw, and married Verna Sell in McKee. Surviving are his 
wife, three sisters and a brother, Mrs. Jenny Boyer of McKee, Mrs. 
Lillian Kunsman of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Annie Burket and Elmer of East 
Freedom. Mr. Shaw was a member of the Leamersville Church of the 
Brethren. He retired as a machinist for the PRR in 1958, after 39 years 
of service. Friends will be received in the Liebegott Funeral Home, 
Duncansville, from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. 
Monday.
