He was born in Oldham, England, on July 4, 1859, a son of Thomas and Ann (Mallam) Shaw, but had been a resident of this country for many years. Ten years ago he retired as a storehouse attendant for the Pennsylvania railroad in the Altoona works. His wife, Mrs. Amanda (Weyandt) Shaw, died on July 21, 1930. Mr. Shaw was the last surviving member of his immediate family, being survived only by nieces and nephews. He was a member of the First Lutheran church and Henry Baker Bible class for many years and a member of Logan lodge, Knights of Pythias. Friends will be received at the Mauk & Yates funeral home after 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon. SHAW - Funeral services for Robert Shaw, of 114 Howard avenue, will be conducted by the Rev. Burleigh Peters at the Mauk & Yates funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Greenwood cemetery. Friends are being received at the Mauk & Yates funeral home.
