SHAW A well known resident of Newry, died at his home at 5.30 o'clock yesterday afternoon of a complication of diseases. He was born in Freedom township on May 27, 1857, a son of Samuel and Anna (Wilt) Shaw. Mr. Shaw followed farming until a few years ago when he retired. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sara Lena (Bancroft) Shaw, a son and two daughters, Dean B. Shaw of the city, Russell, a member of the United [apparently a missing line here] Misses Edith and Grace Shaw at home; two grandchildren, one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Jennie M. Growden of Inglewood, Calif., P.A. Shaw of the city and O. W. Shaw of Loop. Mr. Shaw was a lifelong member of the Newry Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held at the home at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery at Newry. Altoona Mirror, Thursday, March 31, 1932
