On last Thursday morning Mr. Lloyd Stiffler went to Irvintown to do some repairing about the house of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Shaw. On rapping at the door several times and receiving no answer and hearing no noise in the house, --?-- pressed with the idea that perhaps something might have happened to the aged lady; so he procured a ladder --?-- to the window, entered the house and made his way to her bed --?- - where he found her. He called --?-- but received no reply. He took her --?-- and shook her around. He --?-- she felt warm yet and so he tried to --?-- her, but on further investigation found she was dead. He called in a physician who pronounced her dead and to the best of his knowledge she must have died suddenly, a short time before Mr. Stiffler came to the house. She was taken care of immediately by her friends and neighbors, and in the --?-- removed to Stiffler's home on Broad street. The funeral took place Saturday morning.
