(Glunt) Shaw, age 78, of 3534 Huntingdon Furnace Rd., Tyrone, died unexpectedly April 13, 2007 at Geisinger Health Systems, Danville. She was born March 4, 1929 in Canan Station, a daughter of the late Annie (Claycomb) Glunt and Frederick F. Glunt. On January 15, 1948 in Frostburg, Md. she married the late Wayne E. Shaw. Surviving are four daughters: Sally and Earl David Detwiler of Huntingdon, Cynthia and Jeffery Peterson of Spruce Creek, Sandy and Kevin Detwiler of Tyrone and Annette and John Johnston of Revloc, Pa.; a son: Dennis Wayne and Deborah Shaw of Altoona; six grandchildren: Kevin Jr. and Rebekah Detwiler, Jerry Jr. and Joshua McCahan, Lesli and Brandon Shaw; three great-grandchildren: Mya and Colleen McCahan and Noah Detwiler; five sisters: Vera Shaffer and Doris Robertson of Hollidaysburg, Sylvia Ward of St. Peters, Missouri, Beulah (Boots) Vaughn of Altoona, Ruby Houck of Honey Brook, Pa. and two brothers: Harold Glunt of Niles, Ohio and Ralph Glunt of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Kathryn Marketta and Clara Fern Putt and two brothers: Paul and Dale Glunt. She attended Tyrone Christian Missionary Alliance Church and had worked at GTE Sylvania Altoona and Big Yank, Tyrone. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Tyrone Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 2103 Adams Ave. with Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Place of burial will be Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tyrone Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 2103 Adams Ave. Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
