Mr. Sheely [sic] was engaged in loading coal on Engine No. 56, when, from some unaccountable cause, the engine moved, catching him between the tender and frame of one of the wooden shutes, crushing in his right shoulder and back in a terrible manner. Dr. Johnston was immediately called to his assistance, but the unfortunate man expired soon after his arrival. Mr. Sheely was a middle-aged man, sober and industrious, and leaves widow and five children to mourn their loss. - Altoona Tribune. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., May 14, 1869
