Joseph M. Sheetz
Oct. 11, 1945 - Aug. 21, 2006

  Joseph M. Sheetz, 60, Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday morning at 
Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus, after an 
extended illness.
  He was born in Altoona, son of Gerald R. and Kathleen (Harshbarger) 
Sheetz. He married Patricia Renshaw in 1981 at Zion Lutheran Church, 
Hollidaysburg.
  Mr. Sheetz was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
  He was executive vice president of store development at Sheetz Inc.
  Mr. Sheetz was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School, attended 
Robert Morris College and graduated from Indiana University of 
Pennsylvania.
  He enjoyed golf, coaching youth sports and especially spending time 
with his family.
  Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Patty; six children: Joseph S. 
and wife, Wendy; and Travis and wife, Erica, all of Hollidaysburg, 
Courtney and husband, Travis Eckels, of Chester Springs, Pa., and 
Ashley, Kylie and Tyler, all at home; his mother, Kathleen of 
Hollidaysburg; two sisters: Nancy Boling and Marjorie Folcarelli; five 
brothers: James, G. Robert, Stephen and wife, Nancy, Charles and wife, 
Gail, and Randall and wife, Holly; seven grandchildren: Delaney, Casey, 
Max, Jenna and Ava Sheetz, Madison Sheetz Eckels and Ryan Sheetz 
Eckels; and numerous nieces and nephews.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 
23, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at The Good 
Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
  At the request of the family, funeral services will be private. 
Entombment at Alto-Reste Park.
  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 
American Cancer Society.
