Sherman died at 2:40 o'clock Monday afternoon of pneumonia, after a week's illness. Mr. Sherman was a merchant, having conducted a general store at Cross Keys for some time. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Duncansville, a good citizen, one who left his impress for good on those around him. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Sherman was born at Duncansville June 6, 1868, being aged 48 years, 7 months and 2 days. Surviving are his wife, who was Miss Annie Stom; his aged father, A. F. Sherman, who had made his home with his son; a brother and a sister - Frank, of the west; Mrs. Dayton Bowen, of Cross Keys. Another sister, Mrs. Harvey Schall, preceded him to the grave nine months ago and his mother passed away eighteen months ago. Funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Brethren church, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Isaac Krider. Interment in Carson Valley cemetery.
