Sherman, of 35 Washington avenue, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock, of a complication of diseases. He had been sick since last October. Mr. Sherman was born in Indiana county, May 8, 1858, and was married on October 21, 1891. He had resided in this city for many years and was employed as a driver of the hose truck at No. 7 fire station. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church, Wopsononock tribe of Red Men, Triune commandery, Knights of Malta and the Maccabees, as well as the Pennsylvania railroad Relief association. He is survived by his wife and two children, Blair and Helen, both at home, at two brothers and two sisters, as follows: G. W. Sherman, of this city; John and Mrs. Clare Reynolds, of Indiana county, and Mrs. Katie Schatzman, of Pittsburg. The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with services to be conducted at the late home by the Rev. Edgar R. Heckman. Interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.
