Sherry, 100, of Bald Eagle, died Friday morning, April 22, 2005 at the home of his daughter, Margaret. He was born March 23, 1905 in Vail, a son of William and Fannie (Beamer) Sherry. On November 13, 1922 in Cumberland, Maryland, he married Esther J. Sessamen. She died Dec. 16, 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Tepsic and husband Joe of Bald Eagle; two sons, Bill and wife Rose and Paul and wife Edna, all of Bald Eagle, 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby, two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Sherry was a member of the Bald Eagle Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where he was an Elder and Sunday school teacher. He retired in 1970 from construction of Raystown Dam as a mechanic and welder and was employed by various contractors in road construction. Funeral services will be held on Monday April 25, 2005 at 11 a.m., with Pastor D. Z. Lewis, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received on Sunday at Feller Memorial Home from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the services.
