MARGARET SHIMER Mrs. Margaret Shimer, formerly of Woodbury and later a resident of Roaring Spring for a number of years, died at the Nason hospital at that place Monday morning of diseases incident to advanced years. She was born in 1830 and was the widow of Harry H. Shimer, who died fifteen years ago. For three years, owing to failing health, she was an inmate of the Morrison's Cove home at this place, but she entered the Nason hospital last June and remained there until her death. For many years she had been a member of the Lutheran church. Surviving is one brother, John McDonald, of Colorado. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon. Services at 2 o'clock in the Lutheran church, by her pastor, the Rev. Dr. C. E. Keller. Mrs. Shimer had numerous friends. Martinsburg Herald, January 3, 1913 MRS. MARGARET SHIMER Died at the Roaring Spring hospital this morning a few minutes after 12 o'clock after being an inmate of the institution since June last. She was aged 72 years and prior to being taken to the hospital had been an inmate of the home for old people at Martinsburg. She was the widow of H. H. Shimer, who before his death some fifteen years ago, was a resident of Roaring Spring. She has no near relatives. She was a member of the Lutheran church. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon, the cortege to leave the home of Elmer Snoberger in Roaring Spring at 2:13 o'clock and proceed to the Lutheran church, where at 2:30 services will be held.
