Shimer, of Gaysport, received the sad intelligence yesterday of the death of his son, Warren Shimer, at the West Penn hospital, Pittsburg. The young man was 23 years old. He had been afflicted with typhoid fever. Mr. Shimer learned the trade of a moulder, at McLanahan & Stone's foundry. He was afterwards employed at the Pittsburg Steel works. He is survived by his father, sisters and one brother. The remains will be brought to Gaysport this morning. The funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, interment in the Lutheran cemetery. Morning Tribune, Saturday, December 16, 1899
