SHINEFELT Died at 7:30 o'clock yesterday morning, at his home in Williamsburg. He was born at Greencastle, Franklin county, October 30, 1830, and was therefore aged 67 years, 8 months and 21 days. He removed with his parents to Williamsburg when he was quite young and spent the greater part of his life there. He enlisted in company B, One Hundred and Twenty-fifth regiment, Pennsylvania volunteers, in 1862, serving till the expiration of his term, when he re-enlisted, becoming a member of company E, Eighty-fourth regiment, and serving until the close of the war. In 1863 he was united in marriage with Miss Susan White, who survives him. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. George W. Amheiser, of this city, who was with him when he died. Deceased was a member of Robert M. Johnston post, Grand Army of the Republic, of Williamsburg. The funeral will take place at 3 p.m. tomorrow. Altoona Mirror, August 22, 1898
