Elizabeth, wife of John Shock, died at the home of her son, John Shock, on Tenth street, Bellwood, on Sunday morning at 5.30 o'clock. She had been stricken with paralysis a few days ago and never rallied. She was aged 73 years and 2 months. For many years she and her husband had been residents of Birmingham. Some months ago they came to the home of their son. She is survived by her husband, one daughter and five sons. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 12.30 p.m., at her son's residence, in charge of Rev. Brumbaugh. After the service her remains will be taken to her old home at Birmingham by the 2.19 train and there laid to rest. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Monday, July 24, 1899
