Mary E. (Lizzy) Shoemaker 

  Mary E. (Lizzy) Shoemaker, 90, of Lilly, formerly of Tyrone RD 4, 
went home to be with the Lord Saturday night, November 12, 2005, 
following an extended illness. 
  She was born on August 31, 1915 in Old Fields, WV, daughter of Carson 
L. and Ollie (Weatherholtz) Baldwin and on April 9, 1937 in Moorefield, 
WV married Bruce D. Shoemaker. Survived by daughter Mary C., wife of 
Rev. John Parsons, Lilly; daughter-in-law Connie Ray Shoemaker, 
Valparaiso, IN; four grandchildren: Martha Bowser, Elizabeth Parsons, 
Paul Parsons, all of Lilly and Neil Shoemaker of TN; 11 great-
grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister Gay R., wife of 
John Wirrick of Lilly; nieces: Priscilla Ritchey of Claysburg and Ruth 
Ann Smith of Lilly, who were raised by Mary; also numerous other nieces 
and nephews. 
  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 p.m. 
until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dennis C. Beck 
Funeral Home 523 Main St. Portage, PA 15946. Interment at Logan Valley 
Cemetery, Bellwood.
