Mr. Shoenfelt's death was very sudden although he had been in poor health for some time. Arriving at his home in Wilmerding from Blair county where he had spent some weeks with relatives, Mr. Shoenfelt was fatally stricken with hemorrhages and passed away within an hour. The remains were interred in Ledding cemetery, Wilmerding, and next spring will likely be removed to Fairview at East Sharpsburg. The deceased was aged 51 years and was born in Blair county, being a son of George M. and Christiana Shoenfelt, deceased. He resided in Blair county practically all his life until about five years ago when he located at Wilmerding and engaged in the restaurant business. He was very successful, but poor health forced him to retire early in the current year. In addition to his widow he is survived by six brothers, Harris and Allen, of Roaring Spring; J. Blair of California; George B., of Oklahoma; Daniel and Edward, both of Altoona; and two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Snowberger of Catfish and Mrs. Thomas Myers of Woodbury. He was a member of the River Brethren church of Wilmerding. In addition to the Roaring Spring brothers, other relatives from this section attended the funeral.
